First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, combined with talk therapy can safely reduce PTSD symptoms in veterans. About 150 Georgia veterans will receive either psilocybin with supportive therapy or psilocybin with prolonged exposure therapy. The goal is to see which approach works better and is well-tolerated.
