Magic mushroom therapy tested for autism depression
NCT ID NCT06731621
Summary
This is a small, early-stage study to see if psilocybin (a psychedelic compound) combined with therapy is safe and tolerable for autistic adults with depression that hasn't responded to other treatments. Twenty participants will receive two doses of psilocybin alongside therapy sessions. Researchers will also use brain scans to try to understand how the treatment might work.
