Scientists test if common supplement can tame a psychedelic trip
NCT ID NCT07079930
Summary
This early-stage study aims to see if combining the psychedelic compound psilocybin with a supplement called D-Serine is safe for healthy people. Researchers will give the combination to 10 healthy volunteers to check for side effects and measure how it changes their thoughts, feelings, and brain chemistry. The main goal is to learn if D-Serine can reduce the intense psychedelic experience of psilocybin while keeping its potential brain benefits, paving the way for future research.
