NCT ID NCT05301608

First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, changes brain activity and the way people think. Thirty healthy adults will take either psilocybin or a placebo and then perform tasks like describing pictures or solving word puzzles while their brain waves and scans are recorded. The goal is to understand how the drug affects thoughts and brain function, not to treat any disease.
