Summary

This early-stage study tested whether combining psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) with cognitive behavioral therapy is safe and helpful for people with depression. Sixteen adults received two doses of psilocybin along with 12 therapy sessions. The goal was to see if this approach is acceptable to patients and can reduce depressive symptoms.
