Can a simple task test keep older psychiatric patients out of the hospital?
NCT ID NCT06738784
First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a tool called PRPP (Perceive, Recall, Plan and Perform) can help doctors and therapists decide the best support for older adults with psychiatric disorders who live on their own. As people with these conditions age, they often struggle with memory, attention, and problem-solving, making daily tasks harder. The goal is to see if using PRPP leads to better care plans and fewer hospital stays. About 66 participants aged 40 and older will take part.
