First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into a damaged spinal disc can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with chronic low back pain. About 126 adults aged 18 to 60 with a specific type of disc inflammation (Modic 1) will receive either PRP or a placebo. The main goal is to see if at least 30% more people feel meaningful improvement after 3 months.
