Can a simple injection stop arthritis after a knee injury?

NCT ID NCT05412381

Summary

This study is testing if a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection can help prevent long-term arthritis in people who have just torn their ACL, a major knee ligament. Researchers are recruiting 56 people aged 14-50 with a recent ACL injury. They will compare a PRP injection to a placebo (sham) injection to see if it reduces early inflammation and improves knee function.
