New team approach to catch cancer treatment side effects
NCT ID NCT05404308
Summary
This study tests whether adding weekly check-ins with specially trained medical technicians helps doctors better identify and track treatment side effects in patients receiving proton therapy for brain tumors. The trial involves 92 adult patients and randomly assigns them to receive either standard doctor visits alone or doctor visits plus technician consultations. The goal is to see if this team approach improves how side effects are monitored during cancer treatment.
