Researchers probe hidden dental damage in child cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT07057284

Summary

This study aims to understand how often proton beam therapy, a cancer treatment, causes side effects to the teeth and jaws in children and teenagers treated for head and neck cancer. Researchers will survey survivors, review their dental records, and analyze their past radiation doses to see if there's a link. The goal is to gather information to improve how doctors and dentists monitor and communicate about these side effects in the future.
