Summary
This study tested whether a precise form of radiation called proton therapy could control head and neck cancer that had come back after previous radiation. It involved 87 adults whose cancer was not suitable for surgery or who chose not to have surgery. The main goals were to see if the treatment kept the cancer from returning in the treated area and to carefully track the side effects.
