Protein power: can eating right during radiation help cancer patients keep muscle?

NCT ID NCT06480266

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study is looking at how much protein cancer patients eat before, during, and after radiation therapy, and whether that affects their muscle mass and quality of life. Researchers will track 175 adults aged 45 and older who are receiving radiation for various tumors. The goal is to understand the link between protein timing and muscle health, not to test a new treatment.
