Finding the perfect bounce: scientists test how stiff a prosthetic foot should be
NCT ID NCT07263945
Summary
This study aims to understand how the stiffness of a prosthetic foot affects people with below-knee amputations. Researchers will test three different foot stiffness levels on 60 participants to see how it impacts their walking, balance, pain, and the stress on their bone implant. The goal is to gather data to help doctors prescribe the best prosthetic foot for each person in the future.
