New vaccine combo aims to wipe out prostate cancer before surgery

Summary
This study tests whether adding a DNA vaccine (pTVG-AR) and/or an immunotherapy drug to standard hormone therapy can help eliminate high-risk prostate cancer before surgery. About 60 men with newly diagnosed, high-risk prostate cancer who are scheduled for prostate removal will participate. The goal is to see if these treatments can reduce or clear cancer cells in the removed prostate tissue.
