New drug combo aims to tame aggressive prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT04751929

Summary

This study is testing whether two drugs, abemaciclib and atezolizumab, can help control advanced prostate cancer that has spread and no longer responds to standard hormone treatments. The trial is enrolling men to receive one drug, the other, or both together, to see which approach is safest and most effective at shrinking tumors or stopping their growth. Researchers are also checking if the treatment works better for people whose tumors have a specific genetic change.
