Cancer vaccine trial seeks to boost immune attack on prostate tumors

NCT ID NCT05751941

Summary

This study is testing whether a cancer vaccine called Sipuleucel-T works better when patients continue taking their standard hormone therapy drugs. It's for men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread but isn't causing major symptoms, and whose PSA levels are rising despite current treatment. Researchers want to see if keeping patients on hormone drugs helps the vaccine better activate the immune system to fight the cancer.
