Cancer test under scrutiny: does it work equally for all men?
NCT ID NCT02723734
Summary
This study aims to determine if the Decipher® prostate cancer test predicts aggressive disease with the same accuracy in African-American men as in non-African-American men. The test was developed mainly using samples from men of European descent, and researchers want to validate its performance across racial groups. By studying 240 men with prostate cancer, the research hopes to help doctors better distinguish aggressive from low-risk cancers and tailor treatments accordingly.
