Head-to-Head prostate cancer radiation study seeks gentler treatment

NCT ID NCT06052683

Summary

This study compares two radiation treatments for early-stage prostate cancer to see which causes fewer side effects. Researchers will enroll 208 men with low or favorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer. One group receives targeted external radiation (SBRT), while the other receives a permanent radioactive seed implant (LDRB), to determine which leads to better quality of life and fewer urinary or bowel problems.
