New radiation technique aims to spare men from urinary problems

NCT ID NCT06825091

Summary

This study is testing whether a more precise, adaptive form of radiation therapy causes fewer urinary side effects than standard radiation, while still effectively treating localized prostate cancer. It will involve 320 men who are eligible for a short, high-dose radiation treatment called SBRT. The main goal is to see if the adaptive approach improves patients' quality of life by reducing bladder irritation and other urinary issues in the months after treatment.
