Mayo clinic tests if emptying your bladder before radiation eases side effects
NCT ID NCT06037863
Summary
This study compares two ways to prepare for prostate cancer radiation therapy: coming with a full bladder or an empty bladder. The standard method requires a full bladder, but this can be difficult for patients to maintain and may cause stress. Researchers want to see if using an empty bladder is just as good at managing urinary and bowel side effects while making the treatment process easier for patients.
