Precision radiation boost tested to fight prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT01596816
Summary
This study tested whether adding a precise, high-dose radiation boost to standard radiation treatment could better control intermediate-risk prostate cancer. Researchers enrolled 76 men to receive this combined approach and closely monitored them for side effects and cancer control. The main goal was to see if this method was safe and effective at managing the disease.
