NCT ID NCT01653925
First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking marine omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish oil) and a drug called dutasteride can stop low-risk prostate cancer from progressing. The 120 participants are men with low-grade prostate cancer who are under active surveillance. Researchers will measure changes in fatty acid levels and gene activity in prostate tissue to see if these interventions help prevent the cancer from worsening.
