First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether detailed analysis of PET scans (called radiomics) can help predict how aggressive a person's prostate cancer is. Researchers studied 70 men with newly diagnosed, intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer who were scheduled for surgery. They compared PET scan features with standard lab results and the cancer's actual aggressiveness found after surgery, aiming to guide more personalized treatment choices.
