Can a simple talk change minds about prostate cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT04705038

Summary

This study tested whether providing education about surgical castration (removing the testicles) would make more men with advanced prostate cancer choose this surgery over continuing lifelong hormone-blocking injections. Researchers enrolled 101 men already receiving long-term hormone therapy to see if learning about the surgical option changed their decisions. The main goal was to measure how many patients opted for surgery after the educational session and to understand what factors influenced their choice.
