New camera tested for more precise prostate cancer scans

NCT ID NCT06783088

Summary

This study aimed to test if a newer, more sensitive type of medical camera could accurately measure prostate cancer using a radioactive tracer called Lutetium-177. Researchers first tested the camera's settings on a model (a phantom), then applied those settings to review past scan images from 20 patients who had already received treatment. The goal was to see if measurements from two different energy signals from the tracer gave the same result.
