Radioactive tracer lights up hidden prostate cancer during surgery
NCT ID NCT04857502
Summary
This early study is testing a new radioactive tracer called 99mTc-PSMA-I&S. It is designed to help surgeons better see and remove prostate cancer that has spread to lymph nodes during an operation. The study will enroll 30 men with prostate cancer who are already scheduled for lymph node removal surgery to see how well the tracer works and when it provides the clearest signal.
