Scans combined to create a 'Digital Biopsy' for prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT07455097

Summary

This study is looking back at medical records to see if using two advanced imaging scans together can better map prostate cancer before surgery. It involves 600 men with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer who had both a PSMA-PET/CT scan and an MRI scan before having their prostate removed. The goal is to see if this combined approach can more accurately locate the cancer and determine its spread, potentially helping surgeons plan more precise operations.
