New drug trial targets aggressive prostate cancer in men out of options

NCT ID NCT07226713

Summary

This study is testing an oral drug called pacritinib for men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread and is no longer responding to standard hormone-blocking treatments. About 32 participants will take the drug twice daily to see if it can slow the cancer's growth. The main goal is to see how many men are alive without their cancer getting worse after six months of treatment.
