Could two scans beat one? new prostate cancer detection strategy aims to cut unnecessary biopsies

NCT ID NCT07355504

Summary

This study is testing whether watching a suspicious prostate area with two MRI scans over time, instead of acting on just one scan, can help doctors make better decisions. The goal is to reduce unnecessary biopsies and the overtreatment of slow-growing cancers that may not need immediate intervention. It will compare this new monitoring approach to the current standard of care in men with certain MRI findings.
