Radioactive seeds planted to fight prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT00525720

Summary

This study is testing whether permanently implanting tiny radioactive seeds into the prostate can effectively control intermediate-risk prostate cancer. Researchers will track 300 patients to see if their PSA levels remain stable and monitor side effects. The goal is to determine if this one-time outpatient procedure provides lasting cancer control without needing ongoing treatments.
