Doctors test Two-in-One prostate treatment in small safety study
NCT ID NCT05311527
Summary
This small, completed study aimed to check if it's safe to use a UroLift device alongside a precise form of radiation therapy for men with early-stage prostate cancer who also have bothersome urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate. The UroLift is a small implant that holds the prostate open to improve urine flow. Researchers wanted to see if placing this device before radiation caused unexpected problems. The study involved 15 men and focused on tracking side effects and quality of life.
