NCT ID NCT05322356

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to deliver extra radiation (boost) directly to prostate tumors using a 3D ultrasound guidance system. Fifteen men with low- or favorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer will receive standard brachytherapy plus up to 4 extra iodine-125 implants placed precisely where positive biopsies were found. The main goal is to see if the implants land exactly in the target area. Researchers will also track side effects and quality of life for one year.
