First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called propranolol, normally used for heart conditions, could help adults with chronic low back pain or fibromyalgia when combined with pain education. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and to measure its effect on pain and daily function after one month. 48 adults took part, receiving either propranolol or a placebo alongside pain education sessions.
