First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested whether lozenges made from propolis (a bee product) could reduce gum inflammation and plaque in 100 young adults aged 19–24 with moderate gingivitis. Participants used the lozenges for 7 days, and researchers measured gum health and saliva markers of inflammation. The goal was to see if propolis could be a simple, natural way to improve oral health.
