First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study checked if measuring propofol (an anesthesia drug) in children's breath can accurately show how much is in their blood. 32 children having eye surgery took part. Researchers compared breath levels with blood samples and brain activity monitors. The goal was to see if a simple breath test could replace repeated blood draws.
