First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking tranexamic acid pills for up to 7 days after knee replacement surgery improves pain, function, and range of motion compared to a placebo. About 351 adults having knee replacement will be randomly assigned to receive the drug or a dummy pill. The goal is to see if longer use of this medicine leads to better recovery without increasing risks like blood clots.
