First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at whether eating only during a short daily window (prolonged daily fasting) can help obese adults lose weight and improve health, as an alternative to traditional calorie restriction. About 115 participants with obesity and insulin resistance followed either a fasting schedule or a calorie-restricted diet for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see changes in weight and body fat.
