Can a simple blood test boost IUI success?

NCT ID NCT07038616

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looked at 158 women undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI) to see if progesterone levels on the day of the procedure are linked to pregnancy rates. IUI is a simpler, cheaper fertility treatment than IVF, but success rates are modest. The goal was to find a way to better time the procedure and improve outcomes. No new treatment was tested; the study only observed existing data.
