Does low progesterone hurt frozen embryo transfer success?

NCT ID NCT07252622

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will check progesterone levels in 659 women on the day of a frozen embryo transfer. The goal is to see how common low progesterone is and whether it is linked to lower pregnancy rates. Participants will have one extra blood draw, and their pregnancy outcomes will be tracked through medical records.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors identify whether low progesterone on transfer day harms pregnancy chances, leading to better monitoring or treatment adjustments.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly improve outcomes. Results may not apply to all IVF protocols or patient groups.
