Summary

This study tested a stem cell treatment called Prochymal in 11 people with severe graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a life-threatening complication after a bone marrow transplant. The treatment was given to patients whose GVHD did not improve with standard therapies. The goal was to see if it could safely control the disease and improve symptoms.
