First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested whether taking a specific probiotic (Lactobacillus crispatus M247) along with another probiotic blend could help prevent recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women. 84 adult women with a history of frequent UTIs took part. One group received the extra probiotic for 90 days, while the control group received only the standard probiotic blend for 30 days. The main goal was to see if the extra probiotic reduced the number of UTIs over a year.
