Gut bacteria boost tested in fight against ovarian cancer

NCT ID NCT07144826

Summary

This study is testing whether taking probiotic supplements during chemotherapy can help improve gut and vaginal bacteria health in women with advanced or recurrent ovarian cancer. Researchers want to see if these supplements can reduce side effects, improve quality of life, and potentially affect cancer outcomes. About 161 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the probiotic or a placebo pill alongside their standard chemotherapy treatment.
