NCT ID NCT07213323

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking probiotics can reduce common stomach issues like nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain caused by GLP-1 weight-loss drugs (semaglutide or tirzepatide). About 50 adults with obesity starting these medications will receive either probiotics or a placebo for 24 weeks. The goal is to see if probiotics help people tolerate higher doses and stick with treatment, improving their digestive quality of life.
