Gut bacteria boost tested to fight silent liver epidemic

NCT ID NCT07400367

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific blend of probiotic supplements can help people with fatty liver disease when used alongside standard lifestyle advice like diet and exercise. Researchers will enroll 80 adults with the condition to see if the probiotics reduce liver fat and scarring, and improve related health markers like cholesterol and blood sugar over 12 weeks. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug option to better manage this common liver problem.
