Summary
This study looks at whether the probiotic VSL#3 can change how bile acids are processed in people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. About 79 adults with stable, inactive disease will take the probiotic for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure bile acid levels in blood and stool, but the study does not test whether the probiotic improves symptoms or treats the disease.
