Gut bugs vs. belly blues: can a probiotic cure common stomach woes?
NCT ID NCT06760897
Summary
This study tested whether taking a specific mix of stomach-derived probiotics for 8 weeks could relieve symptoms of functional dyspepsia—a common condition causing chronic stomach pain, bloating, and fullness. 74 adults with this condition were given either the probiotic treatment or a placebo. Researchers measured changes in stomach symptoms, quality of life, anxiety, depression, and gut bacteria to see if the treatment helped.
