NCT ID NCT02457338
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a probiotic (Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis) to healthy, breastfed infants for 21 days increases the amount of this bacteria in their stool. About 120 babies born by C-section or vaginal delivery will take part. The goal is to measure changes in gut bacteria and check for any side effects, not to treat a disease.
