Can a probiotic counteract the gut side effects of common heartburn pills?
NCT ID NCT05517928
Summary
This study aims to understand if taking a specific probiotic can help maintain healthy gut bacteria in people using common acid reflux medications (PPIs). Researchers will enroll 30 healthy adults to see if the probiotic prevents medication-related changes to the microbes in their digestive system. The main goal is to gather knowledge, not to treat a disease or provide a direct health benefit to participants.
