NCT ID NCT07373392
First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily probiotic called LP-LDL® can improve cholesterol, blood sugar, and thinking skills in 210 adults with prediabetes or diabetes (type 1 or 2) who also have high cholesterol or triglycerides. Participants will take either the probiotic or a placebo for 12 weeks, then stop for 4 weeks while researchers track changes in blood, stool, and cognitive tests. The goal is to see if this probiotic can help manage disease and reduce inflammation, but it is not a cure—ongoing management is still needed.
