NCT ID NCT07400367

First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking a multi-strain probiotic alongside healthy lifestyle changes can improve liver health in people with Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), a common fatty liver condition. About 80 adults with signs of liver damage will take the probiotic or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if it reduces liver stiffness (fibrosis) and fat buildup, and improves blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
